What are the key components of a Vacuum Cleaner? Motor – The motor produces the rotational motion from electricity. The rotational motion is typically conveyed through the use of a belt or drive belt. Bag – The bag is used to collect the dirt and dust picked up by the vacuum. Belt – The belt transfers the rotation motion of the motor to the brush in order to create a vacuum and create the rotational sweeping motion needed to pckup dirt and debris. Filter – The filter ensures that the air exhausted by the vacuum is clean. Some vacuum cleaners offer a HEPA filter. Cord – The vacuum cleaner cord connects the vacuum cleaner to the electrical system in the house. Brush – The feed dogs move below the needle plate to advance the fabric being sewn. The feed dogs rise above the needle plate with a rearward movement to push the fabric as it is sewn.
